About Silica
At Rawlynx, we produce the crystalline forms of silica – quartz and cristobalite – as both sands and flours. As a hard, chemically inert mineral with a high melting point, silica delivers a range of benefits across multiple applications.
Silica (SiO2) is the term used to describe a group of minerals composed of oxygen and silicon. Whilst it is the world’s second most abundant mineral, products containing at least 98% SiO2 are needed for industrial use.
We offer a wide range of silica products in various formats, including:
